Houston we have a problem... s&^t f*(&^!@£$ b)(£$%^$
(8/28/2008) - The car failed it's MOT!!!! It's gonna be a busy weekend!!
Dan
Progress is slow, and we go next week...
(8/26/2008) - Well the car works, but hasn't got an MOT. It's not been stickered although we have done some painting. Lets hope the car passes it's MOT sometime this week. What could go wrong ..?

This update is brought to you by WD40 ...
(6/22/2008) - For those of you that don't know, we saved a T reg Mondeo from the scrap heap in the sky to tour Ireland with. The only problem with our vehicle choice is that it was in need of a new clutch. It seemed like a good idea to save £300+ by going the DIY route even though our mechanical knowledge is limited to just changing wheels!
Here's some of the "highlights" so far...

That wasn't meant to happen - obviously didn't use enough WD40.

Lets hope it all goes back!

Not going anywhere soon.
Dan
Scally Rally 2008 - Ireland.
(6/17/2008) - Team 19 are back for Scally Rally 2008 taking in scenic Ireland.
Last year's Volvo was a little worse for wear after our 23 hour non-stop journey back from Rimini. So we've been on the look out for a new car. I think we've got a bit of steal but the car is in urgent need of attention, it needs one of these:
A new website and more updates are on there way!
Dan
Some pictures are now on the web ....
(9/20/2007) - Some 471 pictures from my camera are now online ... (link)
Bigger versions of each pic will be online soon, along with another 4/500 pictures.
Dan
We've made it!
(9/19/2007) -
We have safely made it there and back, although our trusty steed is running a little worse for wear. We drove Rimini to Calais via Switzerland in around 21 hours. It was a bit of a mission but we've made it.
There's going to be lots of pictures (600+), videos and a bit of diary of the weeks events. THanks for all the comments and sightings everyone has filled in on our website. Check back soon!

Tomorrow is D Day ...
(12/9/2007) - Tomorrow at about 10am we're heading off. The car is nearley ready, just collecting a few items tonight and putting the main logos etc on the car.
Now seems like a good time to mention some of the people who've helped us get the car ready:
> Lee at Manley Motors (link) has been superb sourcing lots of sponsors, parts and servicing our car.
> Gary Evans at SignARama in Ashford for sorting some large graphics out (link)
These guys have also generously sponsored us
> Crescendo (link)
> Hugh Damien (link)
> Future Software (link)
> FLC Group (link)
> Junction 7 Auto Centre (link)

Not long to go...
(8/9/2007) - Not long to go - only five days. The car is nearly ready although it's almost certainly going to be last minute.
Thanks to everyone who has sponsored us so far, we've raised over £500 so far but please keep it coming... If you'd like to sponsor us please click the link on the left hand side.
On a lighter (!) note, we've started to install all our (hopefully unnecessary) safety equipment. Here are some quick pictures:

Two days in the sun ...
(5/8/2007) - and we've started getting the car tarted up. Take a look at the pictures: (link)
It was going to be a union jack but I'm not sure wether to leave it as it is or finish it off... what do you think?
Dan
Crikey! Six weeks today until we go....
(2/8/2007) - The car ran like a dream up and down the M1 without any hiccups to the meet last weekend to Milton Keynes. It was good meeting the other guys and girls once we realised we were sitting next to them! A few pictures to follow...
However, we seem to have been a bit lazy, there's only six weeks to go and there's still a mountain of stuff to do. Watch this space for more progress as we run out of time ....

The Volvo Hybrid
(7/24/2007) - In yesterdays delightful weather Darryl and I attempted to remove the bumpers, but it was cold, dark and wet ... so we didn't really do too much. Things to pull of the donated vehicle:
Spare wheel - Planning on taking at least two spares
Offside wing mirror casing
Radio
Petrol cap
Arm rest/center console
Body trim clips
Dan
We've got another car....
(7/6/2007) - We've just aquired another Volvo! It's same year, model and colour! But hopefully we can mangle to two beasts together and have a working car! MOre info to follow ...

An update on the beast
(9/3/2007) - Well as you can see from the pictures posted, the beast is in pretty good condition for her age, just thought id mention some of her......unique features!
- Brake lights do not work (Changed fuses so flashing up nicely now!)
- Rear passenger side brake light cluster needs replacing as the previous owner got 'intimate' with a lamp post!
- Rear bumper has had a knock
- Chip in windscreen
- New tyre or 2
- Possibly new exhaust
Other than that she is ageing gracefully!
Daz
A few small pics until the gallery is ready ...
(2/25/2007) - There's also a few more images, and a phone video of the tank being brought home, but for the moment:
Dan
We've got a car!!!
(2/25/2007) - We've found a beast of a car a G reg Volvo 740 GL Estate. There's a few(!) things which don't work, images and a comprehensive list to follow. But we're all pleased with the tank we've got for our hard earned beer tokens!
Dan
We've got a name! (and we're registered)
(2/7/2007) - We've registered and we've even decided upon a name! We are The Jump Starters - team 19!
We're looking for a beast of a Volvo to get us to and from Rimini in less than a week? Can it be done? Watch this space!
Dan
