Scally Rally 2007 Calais to Rimini:

Dan, Daz and Pete are Team 19 in the 2007 Scally Rally. Scally Rally 2007 is a driving challenge across Europe, from Calais to Rimini, in 4 days (14th - 17th September), but there's a catch! All 100 teams entered in the rally must drive a car costing less than £100. We are taking part in aid of McMillan and Thames Hospice Care. All costs are covered by ourselves so any sponsorship money raised goes straight to charity ...

The Team

Team 19 is made up of 3 people, in their early 20's. The biggest problem, apart from our "drive it like you stole it" mentality is our lack of mechanical prowess. Read on ...

Daz

Daz is used to high performance vehicles such as Audi's and Lexi. They often fall apart but that's normally easily fixed with a quick call to his insurance company. Daz works for a well known PLC as an electrical engineer. However the only electrics on our Volvo are to work the intermittent lights (not the indicators). Daz is chocolate teapot number one.

Dan

Dan's driving career spans some 6 cars with the latest requiring new tyres every few thousand miles. The only thing Dan can do unsupervised with a car is clean it. Should our Volvo require mechanical intervention on the highway, Dan will be more than capabable of pushing and/or directing the traffic around our wreck. Chocolate teapot number two.

Pete

Pete is also lacking in the mechanical department, and will probably be helping Dan. Chocolate teapot number three.
